Collavini Ribolla Nera ( Schioppettino) IGT 2019

Description and Tasting Notes

Ribolla Nera is the historical name for Schioppettino, while Schioppettino refered to both the wine and the grape from the area of Prepotto. The grape faced extinction in the late  20th century  when a rule to impede the planting of the grape was challenged by local producers around Prepotto. The result was Schioppettino being acknowledged as an approved variety.

This example has lovely aromas of violet followed onto a medium to full soft palette with notes of red berryfruit and spices. It has balanced elegant tannins
