Lucio Canestrari makes Verdicchio wines, among others, with his wife Fiorella and his son Valerio. Lucio is a kind and matter-of-fact person, who has farmed his vineyards with minimal intervention since 1993. He doesn’t allow any machinery in the vineyards, uses solely wild yeasts in the winery, zero additives, and only a tiny amount of SO2 at bottling. Gaiospino is made from the ripest grapes that are hand picked from the Spesia vineyards. The vineyard has a minimal intervention philosophy, uses only wild yeasts no additives and a tiny little bit of SO2 at the end.

Gaiospino is Coroncinos most awarded wine, it  has amazing depth and complexity. There are bold aromas of spice  and green apples. Its rich, full and persistent. It will age for a good ten years.
